About Dr. Danziger

Hi! I’m Phoebe Danziger, MD, FAAP. I am a board-certified pediatrician, and I live in Suttons Bay with my husband, Jake, our four wonderful daughters, and our animals (goats, chickens, cats, dogs, and two cows named Frances & Gloria) on our small, eponymous hobby farm, Stowe Farm.

I love being a pediatrician - it is an honor and a privilege to work with children and their families to help promote their health and well-being - and I’m thrilled to have brought back an option for pediatric care to Leelanau County. I previously worked for the University of Michigan as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and more recently for a rural health center and community hospital in Otsego County, where I continue to help out as an attending physician on the labor and delivery unit on a monthly basis.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family, working in our garden, cooking, and photographing. I am also a writer, and particularly enjoy writing about topics that fall at the intersection of medicine, culture, and ethics. In addition to academic publications, I have written for publications like the New York Times and McSweeney’s. I also have additional training in pediatric bioethics.

Families receive unparalleled convenience and access. Same and next day appointments are available so you’ll never have to wait weeks for an urgent appointment. Office visits, virtual visits, and home visits (see the Membership page for more information about home visit options) available. When questions come up, you can text us directly through our secure, HIPAA-compliant texting service and receive a prompt reply.

When we work with families, we strive for open, honest, and respectful communication, and shared decision-making. You value our medical expertise and experience, and we value your expertise on your own child. We strive to practice modern, evidence-based medicine while also taking a thoughtful and comprehensive approach to health and wellness.

I look forward to partnering with you to support and empower your family and offer the same care to your children that I would want for my own.

Meet the Team

  • Rebecca Baker, CPNP-PC

    NURSE PRACTITIONER

I’m a certified pediatric nurse practitioner with about fifteen years of nursing experience, about half of my nursing career was spent in the Emergency Room and the other half has been in pediatrics. I attended Ferris State University for my undergraduate nursing degree and then Wayne State University for my graduate nursing degree.

I have always loved taking are of children and their families, which led me to specialize in pediatrics for graduate school. Newborns have always held a special place in my heart, but I enjoy children at all ages!

I am married to my husband of thirteen years, Travis. We have two children at home, a boy and a girl, as well as one dog, and our first born daughter, who is in heaven.

In my free time I enjoy swimming, boating, learning to downhill ski, learning to play golf, hiking, supporting my kids in all their sports, and spending time with family and friends.
