About Dr. Danziger

Hi! I’m Phoebe Danziger, MD, FAAP. I am a board-certified pediatrician, and I live in Suttons Bay with my husband, Jake, our four wonderful daughters, and our animals (chickens, goats, cats, dogs) on our small, eponymous hobby farm, Stowe Farm.

I love being a pediatrician, and feel that it is an honor and a privilege to work with children and their families to help promote their health and well-being. I am so excited to be bringing an option for pediatric care back to Leelanau County. I previously worked for the University of Michigan as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, and more recently for a rural health center and community hospital affiliated with Munson Healthcare.

In my free time, I love spending time with my family, working in our garden, cooking, and photographing. I am also a writer, and particularly enjoy writing about topics that fall at the intersection of medicine, culture, and ethics. In addition to academic publications, I have written for publications like the New York Times and McSweeney’s. I also have additional training in pediatric bioethics.

About Stowe Farm Pediatrics

Stowe Farm Pediatrics is a direct primary care (membership-based) practice. For questions about what this means and what the benefits are, please see our Frequently Asked Questions section.

Stowe Farm Pediatrics offers thoughtful, high-quality, evidence-based pediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents/young adults. I believe in practicing medicine the way it should be practiced: with the patient and family at the center, and with a focus on relationships, trust, and continuity.

Families receive unparalleled convenience and access. Same and next day appointments are available; you’ll never have to wait weeks for an appointment. Office visits, virtual visits, and home visits (see the Membership page for more information about home visit options) available. When questions come up, you can text me directly through our secure, HIPAA-compliant texting service and receive a prompt reply.

When I work with families, I strive for open, honest, and respectful communication, and shared decision-making. You value my medical expertise and experience, and I value your expertise on your own child. Modern, evidence-based medicine and technology offer incredible benefits, and I also believe that taking a comprehensive and holistic approach is paramount. Food and nature are also medicine, and so many aspects of our lifestyles and lived experiences contribute strongly to our health and wellbeing, both in the moment and over the life course.

I look forward to partnering with you to support and empower your family and offer the same care to your children that I would want for my own.
